"Built for the dining table: a 9x12 rust red Oushak, hand-knotted in New Zealand wool, with a sage border wide enough to frame every chair.
HOW IT IS MADE
Every knot is tied by hand on a vertical loom in the Bhadohi-Mirzapur weaving belt of India, in 100% New Zealand wool pile on a cotton foundation. Our weavers use the Turkish Ghiordes knot - the symmetrical double knot behind Anatolian and Oushak weaving - so the pile sits dense and upright. No latex, no adhesive, no machine tufting; the fringe is the warp itself. Unlike a flat kilim or nomadic flatweave, this is a full-pile, hand-knotted Oushak style rug, soft and cushioned underfoot.
THE COLOUR, MEASURED
We colour-sample every piece before we write about it. The field is a warm rust red (#9B5538) and the wide border a dusty sage green (#AA9E87), with an ivory centre (#D9C9AF), mustard gold (#C59E5C) and soft pink (#C09286) blooms and touches of mauve and olive. Roughly 40% rust field to 37% sage border: the warm centre draws the eye and the cool frame settles it, so the rug reads clearly across a room.
If you follow 2026 palettes: rust is leading the warm rug colours this year and designers now call sage the new neutral. This rug pairs the two.
THE DESIGN
An Anatolian Oushak style composition in the Ottoman floral tradition: an ivory centre medallion set with small lozenges, tiny daisy-like flowers on fine stems radiating out like an allium seed head, large mustard and pink blooms at the sides and ends, serrated leaves, and a sage border of pink rosettes and hooked cartouche forms between ivory guard bands. At home in traditional, transitional, modern farmhouse, southwestern or eclectic boho rooms.

WHERE IT WORKS
Living room under the sofa and chair fronts. Dining room with every chair on the rug (9x12 and up). Bedroom extending past the bed. Hallway in the runner size. Wool handles daily traffic; rotate away from strong sun.
CARE
Vacuum without a beater bar, rotate twice a year, blot spills (never rub), professional wash every few years.
