This is an authentic Arts and Crafts carpet: the tight, symmetrical botanical repeat that William Morris and the Craftsman workshops made famous. The field is a warm golden ochre, measured at roughly #B98B55, carrying rows of stylised leaf-and-bud sprigs in wheat cream, soft slate grey and the faintest blush. Framing it, a broad sage-lichen border (measured near #9C9881) runs a stepped tree motif in deep loden green, closed by a rosette guard band and a fine cream outer edge. Ochre and grounded green is precisely the pairing designers named as the 2026 palette — warm, characterful, and a long way from cool grey.
