"A COLOUR THAT BEHAVES LIKE A NEUTRAL
Deep green grounds a room the way dark wood does, but with warmth. Here the field sits between pine and
emerald - dark enough to forgive daily traffic, saturated enough to look deliberate. Across it, sage and
celadon vines wander in the Oushak way of drawing: loose, botanical, slightly irregular. Palmettes open in
antique olive gold and brass, outlined in a green so deep it reads nearly black.
Look closely and you will see abrash - soft tonal banding where hand-dyed yarn shifts between batches. Not
a flaw: it is the fingerprint of wool dyed and knotted by hand, and the first thing a collector checks for.
HOW IT IS MADE
Hand knotted one knot at a time by weavers in the Bhadohi-Mirzapur belt of Uttar Pradesh, India, using the
Turkish Ghiordes (symmetrical) knot on a cotton foundation. The pile is 100% New Zealand wool, chosen for
its high lanolin content, natural lustre and spring-back, and for how cleanly it takes dye.

Made in 5x8, 8x10, 9x12, 10x14 and a 2.5x13 runner, plus square formats. Custom sizing is open - send us
your dimensions, and for designers we dye to COM/COL to match an existing scheme.
Vacuum weekly with the beater bar off, blot spills rather than rubbing, rotate twice a year and use a rug
pad. A professional wool clean every few years is the only real maintenance it will ask for.
