A shoal of hand-knotted fish, climbing your stairs.
This is our fish design in the quietest colourway we weave — an oatmeal-taupe
ground with fish in charcoal, walnut, stone grey and one warm terracotta. Every
fish carries its own pattern: checkerboard, herringbone, dotted, latticed. A fine
geometric border runs the full length, finished with hand-tied fringe. Neutral
enough for a white staircase, characterful enough that guests stop halfway up.

🧶 WOVEN IN THE BHADOHI BELT
Every RUGYFY rug is knotted by hand in the Bhadohi–Mirzapur weaving belt, where
the craft has passed down through families for generations. This piece goes
through ten stages — from hand-spinning and dyeing to knotting, clipping, washing
and final finishing. Roughly 45 days on the loom. No two are identical, and small
variations in the pile are the signature of a rug made by hand rather than by
machine.
📏 SIZING FOR STAIRS — PLEASE READ
Measure the tread and the riser of one step, add them together, and multiply by
your number of steps. Add 12 inches for the landing and a little slack. Send us
that number and we'll weave your runner in one continuous length — no joins.
Motif scale: the fish are drawn at full size on runners 2.6 ft wide and above. On
narrower widths the repeat carries fewer fish per foot. Message us your exact
width and we'll show you how the shoal will fall before a single knot is tied.
Stair rods are not included.
🚚 MAKING & DELIVERY
Custom sizes take approximately 45 days on the loom, plus transit. Ready sizes
dispatch faster. Every order ships with tracking. We'd rather quote you an honest
timeline than a hopeful one.
🎨 EVERY COLOUR WE WEAVE
This design also comes in rust, blue-green, sage, pink, mustard and charcoal —
and we can match almost any shade on our card. Send us a paint chip, a cushion,
a photo of your stairwell. We'll weave to it.

Vacuum with suction only. Rotate ends occasionally for even wear. Blot spills
immediately with a dry cloth. Professional cleaning for anything stubborn.
