This hand-knotted Oushak rug is woven on a vertical loom in the Bhadohi-Mirzapur weaving belt of Uttar Pradesh, India — one of the world's last living centers of traditional carpet making. The ivory cream field carries a soft, all-over botanical drawing in sage green, jade, and warm rust, framed by a cool sky blue border with rosette motifs. It is the kind of piece that quiets a room: layered enough to reward a second look, calm enough to live with for decades.
