HOW IT IS MADE
Every knot is tied by hand on a cotton foundation by weavers in the Bhadohi-Mirzapur belt of India, using the Turkish (Ghiordes) knot - the symmetrical double knot behind Anatolian and Oushak weaving. The pile is 100% New Zealand wool: long staple, natural lustre, soft underfoot. No latex, no adhesive, no machine tufting. The fringe is the warp itself.
THE COLOUR, MEASURED
We colour-sample every piece before we write about it. The field is crushed raspberry (#9A5D65, moving between #8F515A and #A56871) across about 71% of the surface. Deep berry (#84434F, about 16%) sets the border ground. The flowers are mulberry wine (#75283E, about 9%) and peony pink (#C2768B, about 4%); the fringe is natural oat. Because everything sits in one berry family, the rug reads as a single saturated colour from across the room and reveals its drawing as you come closer.

THE DESIGN
A botanical frame in the Arts and Crafts / Art Nouveau tradition, built around the tulip - the lale of Ottoman decorative art. A cruciform tulip bloom anchors the centre, tulip sprays reach in from each corner, and a twining tulip-and-leaf border runs between twin guard lines. The open field carries gentle tonal movement in soft horizontal bands. The pattern frames a room rather than competing with its furniture.
