"Lilac, seafoam and apricot meet in this 9x12 hand knotted wool Oushak, a Kazak-drawn medallion scaled for a full dining table and every chair.
HOW IT IS MADE
Every knot is tied by hand on a cotton foundation by weavers in the Bhadohi-Mirzapur belt of India. We use the Turkish Ghiordes knot, the symmetrical double knot behind Anatolian, Oushak and Kazak weaving, for a dense, hard-wearing pile. No latex, no adhesive, no machine tufting - the fringe is the warp itself.
THE COLOUR, MEASURED
We colour-sample every piece before we write about it. Field and main border: soft lavender (#B8ABBE). Medallion: dusty mauve (#B89698). Accents: seafoam mint (#98BFAD), apricot (#EECCAD) and ivory (#E4D7C1). The split is roughly 35% lavender, 29% mauve, 17% apricot, 12% mint and 4% ivory. Cool lilac against warm apricot lets the pattern read across a room without any colour shouting.

THE DESIGN
Kazak in lineage, from the Caucasian-Anatolian tribal school: a stepped octagonal medallion around an apricot diamond, four corner panels with ivory arrow forms and mint lozenges, hooked bracket motifs in the field, and a border of mauve cross-rosettes and mint S-scrolls inside narrow guard bands. Nomadic geometry in a washed Oushak palette, at home in modern, grandmillennial or Ottoman-inspired rooms.

WHERE IT WORKS
Dining room: fits a six to eight seat table with chairs staying on the rug when pulled out. Living room: holds a full sofa, two chairs and a coffee table in one zone. Main bedroom: under a king bed with room either side. Family room: a soft colour field that hides everyday wear well. Built for busy shared rooms.
CARE
Vacuum without a beater bar. Rotate twice a year. Blot spills with cool water, never rub. Professional wash for deep cleaning. Colours may vary slightly by screen.
