Details"Hand knotted in soft sky blue with coral, ivory and sage florals, this Oushak wool area rug brings calm colour and heirloom character to any living room.
Every piece is knotted by hand on a traditional loom in the Bhadohi-Mirzapur weaving belt of Uttar Pradesh, India, by artisan families working in the Anatolian Oushak tradition. No glue, no latex backing, no machine tufting - just wool pile knotted row by row over a cotton foundation, with the fringe formed from the warp itself.

COLOUR & DESIGN
The field is a cool, washed sky blue filled with an all-over vine of palmettes, rosettes and curling leaves. Coral, salmon and apricot blooms sit against ivory stars and deep indigo accents, while a cream border of stylised leaf motifs frames the whole piece. It reads traditional from across the room and unexpectedly modern up close - the palette is muted rather than saturated, so it layers with white oak, brass, linen and rattan instead of competing with them.
WHERE IT WORKS
