SLATE BLUE OUSHAK RUG — HAND-KNOTTED NEW ZEALAND WOOL
A smoky jade-blue field framed by a deep pine-green border — this is not the washed-out beige Oushak the market is flooded with. It is a polychrome Anatolian design with real depth, hand-knotted one knot at a time in 100% New Zealand wool.
The open blue-grey ground carries a full botanical repertoire: palmettes, serrated leaves, vine scrolls and rosettes worked in wine, saffron gold, ivory, sage and dusty rose. The wide forest-green border grounds the whole composition and gives the rug the architectural weight that a flat single-tone rug can never deliver.
