Hand knotted one knot at a time in the Turkish Ghiordes tradition, this Oushak carpet pairs a deep denim-blue field with a persimmon clay border — two colours sitting directly opposite each other on the wheel, which is exactly why the combination reads as calm rather than loud.
The field carries visible abrash: soft horizontal shifts in the indigo where each new batch of hand-dyed yarn met the loom.
