"THE PIECE
A warm copper-terracotta field carries an all-over procession of Oushak palmettes and rosettes - soft powder blue, coral, mustard gold, sage and cream - framed by a deep indigo border of scrolling florals and Anatolian S-hooks. The rust ground shows natural abrash, the gentle striation that appears when hand-spun wool takes dye in small batches. It is the reason no two of these rugs are ever identical.
There is a quiet coincidence in this palette worth knowing. Etsy named Patina Blue its 2026 Color of the Year - the blue-green that copper turns as it ages. This rug holds both halves of that story at once: the copper before, the patina after.
