A Turkish Oushak rug that reads as calm from across the room and as craft up close.
The field is a soft, sunlit greige — the kind of warm taupe that shifts with the light and never fights the furniture already in the room. Across it runs an open Anatolian lattice of palmettes, serrated leaves and small rosettes, drawn in sage, olive, terracotta and camel gold. Framing all of it is a deep teal border, a colour designers have been reaching for all year, filled with ivory and gold tribal motifs. The gentle abrash in the field is not a flaw — it is the honest signature of a hand knotted rug, wool dyed in small batches, knot by knot.
Every rug is hand knotted on a cotton foundation using the symmetrical Turkish Ghiordes knot, the same construction Anatolian weavers have used for centuries. Ours are made by artisan families in the Bhadohi–Mirzapur weaving belt of Uttar Pradesh, India — a region that has carried this craft for generations.
