Each knot is tied by hand onto a cotton warp by master weavers in the Varanasi–Bhadohi–Mirzapur corridor, a region that has been weaving carpets for generations. There is no latex or cloth backing and no glued-on fringe — the fringe is part of the warp itself, the mark of true hand-knotted construction.
Design: Stylized fish swim across a warm rust-persimmon field, outlined in deep blue with tribal folk-art detailing. The motif has roots in nomadic and village weaving traditions, where fish symbolized abundance and good fortune.
