A patina-blue Oushak that reads calm from across the room and intricate up close — hand-knotted in 100% New Zealand wool on a cotton foundation.
This is a traditional Anatolian Oushak, woven knot by knot using the Turkish Ghiordes technique by master weavers in the Bhadohi–Mirzapur belt of Uttar Pradesh, India — a weaving corridor working in the Ottoman carpet tradition since the sixteenth century. Nothing here is printed, glued, or machine-tufted. Every rosette, palmette, and serrated cartouche was tied by hand.

THE COLOR STORY
The palette is unusually current for a traditional design. The border sits squarely in patina blue — Etsy's 2026 Color of the Year — while the field motifs run through jade green and warm persimmon coral, two of the five hues in Pinterest's 2026 palette. The ivory ground keeps the whole thing airy, so the rug anchors a room without shouting at it. Under morning light the teal cools toward slate; by evening it warms and the coral comes forward.
