Hand-knotted in 100% New Zealand wool, this ivory and terracotta Oushak brings the warm, earth-toned floor that 2026 interiors are being built around.
The field is a soft, lived-in ivory — not a flat white, but a warm cream carrying gentle abrash, the natural tonal drift that only comes from small-batch dyeing. Across it runs an open Anatolian lattice of palmettes and rosettes in sage green, olive, muted rose and a whisper of lavender. Framing it all is a wide clay-terracotta border, deep enough to read as persimmon in low evening light and warm enough to pull the whole room toward it.
THE CRAFT
Every knot is tied by hand using the Turkish Ghiordes technique on a cotton foundation, woven in the Bhadohi-Mirzapur belt of Uttar Pradesh, India — one of the last regions still producing Oushak-tradition rugs at collector density. New Zealand wool is the reason this rug feels the way it does: naturally high in lanolin, it resists soil, holds dye with unusual depth, and softens underfoot instead of matting down.

WHERE IT LIVES

CARE
Vacuum weekly without a beater bar. Rotate every six months for even wear. Blot spills immediately with a clean cloth. Professionally clean every two to three years. A rug pad is strongly recommended — it extends the life of the pile and keeps the rug from traveling.
